Bonifay's Down Home Street  Festival

Our City:

Bonifay is a city in Holmes County, Florida, United States. Bonifay was given its name for a prominent family in the area who goes by the same last name. The population was 4,078 at the 2000 census. According to the U.S Census estimates of 2005, the city had a population of 2,711.  It is the county seat of Holmes County.

Geography

Bonifay is located at 30°47′26″N, 85°40′51″W (30.790573, -85.680811).

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 9.4 km² (3.6 sq mi), all land.

Schools

Bonifay is home to three public schools: Bonifay Elementary School, Bonifay Middle School, and Holmes County (Bonifay) High School. A 2004 study by the bureau of secondary education showed that 56.73 percent of Holmes County high school graduates go on to secondary education. Of these, 38.03 percent of those go on to comeplete a bachelors degree, furthermore 12.60 percent of these students who receive a bachelors go on to receive a masters or doctorial degree.

Street Festival

was a vision of three local women. After traveling all over the United States to various towns and communities, enjoying good wholesome fun among family and friends, they wanted to bring that atmosphere of community unity to our town. A day that everyone could come together to enjoy a day of play as one big  family consisting not only of family, but friends, co-workers, business owners etc.  As well as a day to show others what Bonifay has to offer. We are blessed to live in this area and should be proud to show it off. We hope this day will draw many guest to our area and also be profitable to our local bussinesses and organizations.
