Bonifay's Down Home Street  Festival

Thank you for your interest in participating in the 2010 Black-Eye Pea Cook-off in Bonifay.

Individuals or up to four member teams are welcome.

Peas, and water will be furnished to each team. Each team/contestant is only responsible for furnishing flavoring and spices to his/her taste, kettle, utensils, a closed flame cooker and a tent to cover cooking area. The festival will provide 10 lbs of peas and bowls to serve in.

Entry fee for each kettle will be $20.00.

Awards will also be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place along with Best of show, Cooking Area, and Costumes.

Judging will begin at approximately 11 :OO am (to be determined by the Festival Committee). Awards will be announced after all judging has occurred and will be in conjunction with the decoration and other awards.

Entry fee for each kettle will be $20.00. Prize money

 (1st) $100 Black Pot Award; (2nd) $75 Black Pot Award; (3rd) $50 Black Pot Award.

 Best of show: Cooking Area-Black Pot Award, Costumes-Black Pot Award
