Bonifay's Down Home Street Festival will be have a booth set up at the fair this year. Stop by and see us September 22-26, 2009, Holmes County Fair Grounds!

Thank you to everyone that helped with the Rodeo Parade float. The efforts were worth it. The float won in its category and will be awarded a $200 cash prize.

The festival was recognized at the City council meeting last night and had the opportunity to give out cash awards to various community groups. This was the 3rd annual festival and it was a great success. We have learned over these years that this festival has to have the support of the community to be successful and because of that support we were able to give back. We would like to say a Special thank you to all those that volunteered their time and energy to this event. Community organizations recognized were; Bonifay Fire Department, Shay Mccormick and team- $2,000, Bonifay Police Department, Chris Wells and team - $1500, Holmes County 4-H, Natalie Bowman and workers- $200, ROTC- $300, Holmes County Health Department Pink Program, Traci Corbin- $980, HCHS Drama team, Rick Ward and Project Graduation- $550. Work has already begun to make the 2012 festival even better! The Festival will be held on Veterans Blvd, at Memorial feild. We are planning a larger Kid's corner with more free kids activities, Antique Car and Truck show, Arts and Craft Vendors, 5K run and bike ride, demonstrations and plenty of entertainment and FOOD. Don't forget the Blackeye Pea and Cornbread samplin at noon! Another exciting part of the festival in BullJam (directed by Jerrod Jenkins), the largest bullriding in the southeast! A FREE festival and fun for the whole family! Mark your calendars now for the third weekend in March!
